Lab Equipment

-Spatula Spatula. metal implement used for spreading soft substances.

-Forceps Forceps - instrument for holding firmly.

-Pipette Pipette - narrow tube into which fluid is drawn by suction and retained by closing the upper end

-Scalpel Scalpel -a small straight thin-bladed knife used in surgery

-Test tube brush (wire brush) Test tube brush Tool with bristles for cleaning test tubes.

- Thermometer Thermomete r- an instrument for determining temperature

- Graduated pipette (micro pipette) 7- Graduated pipette- It is a pipette with a volume scale- used for exact volume PLEASE- add the lines to the micropipette picture

-Glass stir rod Glass stirring rod- piece of tube glass used to mix liquids.

-Buret Buret- it is used to deliver solutions in - precise measured volumes.

-Funnel Funnel - a hollow cone with a tube extending from the smaller end and that is designed to catch and direct a downward flow.

-Test tube Test tube : a plain or lipped tube usually of thin glass used in biology

-Beaker Beaker - a deep wide mouthed thin- walled vessel that is used in science laboratories

-Graduated cylinder Graduated cylinder : a tall, narrow, container with a volume scale used for measuring volume of liquids

-Erlenmeyer flask Erlenmeyer flask- a flat-bottomed conical laboratory flask

-Wash bottle Wash bottle- Bottle used for cleanse by the action of a liquid (as water)

-Crucible tongs Crucible tongs are welded steel tools used to lift a hot crucible.

-Evaporating dishes The evaporating dish is used to heat and evaporate liquids.

-Crucible Crucible - a vessel of porcelain used for melting and calcinating a substance that requires a high degree of heat

-Watch glass The watch glass is used to hold solids when being weighed or transported.

-Clay triangle (Ceramic triangle) The clay triangle is used to hold crucibles when they are being heated.

-Rubber stopper Stopper- one that causes to stop operating or functioning

-Bunsen burner Bunsen burner- a gas burner consisting of a straight tube with small holes at the bottom where air enters and mixes with the gas to produce a hot blue flame

-Ring stand Ring stand- used to support oneself on the feet in an erect position

-Wire screen (wire gauze) Wire screen – A fabric of woven metallic wire.

-Support ring (Iron Ring) Support ring it is supported by the ring stand and used to hold lab equipment.

-27 Test tube holder The test tube holder is used to hold test tubes when they are hot and untouchable.
