What Invest Bay of Plenty – Spatial Plan A shared vision and collective voice on the future for the wider Bay of Plenty It will identify the opportunities and its high priority issues for the Bay of Plenty It will look at investment in three areas - people, environment and business Positioning the Bay within NZ Inc.

Why a Regional Plan Develop a collective vision for the future of the whole Region Position the Bay of Plenty in the upper North Island, NZ and overseas A regional view on how all the parts will work together Guide central and local government investment across the region Collaborative working – ahead of central government requirements A basis for future shared services

Regional fit with SmartGrowth SmartGrowth  Invest Bay of Plenty  UNISA  NZ Inc. Western Bay of Plenty sub-region has significant role to play in progressing opportunities across the wider Bay of Plenty. Complement anticipated growth and infrastructure needs of Western Bay over the next 50 years. Invest Bay of Plenty will use SmartGrowth research and work to date. Alignment of regional and inter-regional infrastructure investment and priorities. Invest Bay of Plenty will explore the synergies between the Western Bay, Rotorua and Eastern Bay subregions and their communities.
