How can you simulate bathing baby? Baby wipes Damp washcloth Never water!!!!

Checking out the baby You will receive a pass during the class Prior to Checkout on Friday You, and only you will come to my room during seminar You need to cross-reference the code number on your bracelet to the number listed on your babies birth certificate Mrs. Simmons will put bracelet on you. Make sure you have a bottle Make sure you have a green and yellow diaper Fasten your baby in the car seat and enjoy! Return back to your seminar The baby senses rough handling prior/after the simulation time.

During Simulation Remember that the baby will cry and the sensor will not respond due to fussiness If you feel the need to contact me because you think the baby is not working, there is nothing I can do. I will tell you to: Check that the status light is still on in the back Place the baby on its stomach for a few moments to see if it starts to cry Document any issue you think might be occurring The baby will shut down from abuse or neglect I will not respond to your emails/texts

During Simulation DO NOT stress out!!!!!!!!!!! You are allotted 100 minutes of crying time before it starts to affect your grade. Parenting is stressful, if you are losing control walk away and take a break. I do not expect you to get a 100% on this! It’s a tough job! And you will miss a few points.

Monday Morning Promptly return baby to my room prior to class starting. If you return late without notification your grade will be reduced by 10% everyday I have not heard from you. Bracelet will be cut by Mrs. Simmons only or your grade will result in a zero.

Reflection Essay Due the following Friday One page, double spaced, 12 point font typed report due within 1 week after returning the Baby. Include answers to these questions within your report: Was the parenting simulation more or less difficult than expected and why? How did it/would it affect your schoolwork and social life to have a child now.

Alternative Assignment Research Paper Current event/topic in childcare or education Approved by Mrs. Simmons 4 pages, double spaced, times new roman, 12 point font 3 sources, works cited page included
