Accountable to the community, Helen Haller Elementary is competitive among the other peninsula schools.

Annual Measurable Objectives District Reading Goals Represent the proficiency targets that our school is supposed to meet over the next five years. Where we starting, what are goals are for the next 5 years AMO =AYP the new accountability for testing BaseTarget 2013 Target 2014 Target 2015 Target 2016 Target

District Implementation of the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Deepen staff understanding of the content and structure of the CCSS. Clearly communicate and articulate a transition plan for each grade band. Align or map where the ELA CCSS reside within our current resources. Create/adjust common summative assessments according to the ELA CCSS. Develop specific grade level goals relative to the Common Core transition.

Implement comprehensive Reading Assessment System Select DIBELS as the universal screener. Train Title Reading staff to administer DIBELS 3 times a year. Select Fountas and Pinnel Benchmark Assessment System as the District diagnostic assessment resource. Use the F & P System on all at-risk readers. This creates a common screening and diagnostic approach across the District. Also, it allows for common language and data needed for collaboration between staff members.

Creating common writing lessons for both elementary school Creating common writing assessments given (baseline, 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd trimester) Creating common scoring rubrics Discussions with grade level teams for scoring Writing Alignment to Common Core Standards
