Advising Semesters For at least 2 more semesters after taking ACA 122, each college transfer student will continue to be assigned to their faculty advisor During these 2 semesters students will be required to meet with his or her faculty advisor… – once within the 1 st 4 weeks of each semester – once more prior to priority registration of each semester
Advising Semesters Faculty advisors will assist their advisees by using an early alert software called GradesFirst. Using GradesFirst, instructors of all courses will have the ability to send an early alert to a student’s faculty advisor if students, for example, – have excess tardiness/absences – are performing poorly in the course – have a change in attitude, demeanor, etc.
College Transfer Advising Center After 3 full semesters of being assigned to their faculty advisors, college transfer students can transition to the College Transfer Advising Center (CTAC) for future advising if they have completed 30 or more credit hours AND 2. they have a 2.5 GPA or better If a college transfer student does not meet these 2 requirements, they will remain assigned to their faculty advisor until they do
College Transfer Advising Center The CTAC will serve to assist college transfer students with the successful completion of their academic goals College Transfer students are expected to review and update their Structured Academic Pathway as well as register themselves for classes
