S AB TRAINING

SAB MISSION STATEMENT The purpose of the Student Activities Board shall be to provide social, multicultural, recreational and educational activities, which are sensitive to and serve the needs of the entire campus and surrounding community, with an emphasis on the student body. In the process of providing their activities, it shall be the goal of the Student Activities Board to provide an opportunity for members to develop life skills through their involvement in the Student Activities Board.

P ROGRAMMING A REAS Diversity: Programs in this area should promote multicultural understanding and awareness and should include social events that celebrate different aspects of diversity. Engaging Issues: Programs in this area should be designed to promote out-of-the-classroom educational opportunities. Film: Programs in this area should provide programming for the Student Activities Center Floyd Theatre and other venues as needed.

P ROGRAMMING A REAS ( CONT.) Spirit & Traditions: Programs in this area should focus on planning events that are centered around and focus on the annual Homecoming celebrations. Outreach: Programs in this area should be targeted to certain groups and organizations at the University of Louisville. Campus Life: Programs in this area should focus on providing social opportunities for the University of Louisville community that are not centered on an educational level.
