 The French national team play annually against England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales in the Six Nations Championship.  They have won 16 championships and shared it 8 times and have completed 9 grand slams.  Eight French players have been put in to the World Rugby Hall of Fame.  The French were introduced to Rugby in 1872 by the British.  On new years day 1906 they played they're first test match against New Zealand in Paris.
