More – means the number is bigger like an elephant. Less – means the number is smaller like a mouse.

We’re going to play a game. But first let me explain the directions to you. The students will look at the numbers on the card. Students will determine which number is MORE or LESS and use the recording sheet to color their answers.

Now, look at the letter in the top left corner on one of your cards. Find it on your recording sheet. The arrow beside of it will say LESS or MORE. This one says LESS so which number Is LESS? 27 or 18? 18! You’re right!!! So you color 18. Let’s try one more!

Now, look at the letter in the top left corner on one of your cards. 26! Right again! Color it on your sheet! Time for you to practice on your own! Find it on your recording sheet. The arrow beside of it will say LESS or MORE. This one says MORE so which number Is MORE? 16 or 26?

Now Let’s practice!!! You will be working in small groups of 4 students. Pass the cards around until you have saw every card and colored every letter! HAVE FUN!!!!

Don’t forget: The first thing on your paper is your name!!!
