Session Objectives and Success Criteria Participants will gain an understanding of how teachers are using Office Mix with their students and how specialists could use Office Mix in their work with teachers and staff. Participants will gain a basic understanding of the features of Office Mix. Participants will explore the tools and features of Office Mix. Participants will gain a basic understanding of how to view the analytics of a Mix. By the end of today’s session participants will be able to: Add the Mix tab into PowerPoint Interact with the basic Office Mix tools to enhance lessons and professional development Begin developing a new Office Mix (or use a past PowerPoint to create a Mix) Access continuing support as needed

Interacting with Office Mix – The Ribbon Start with a PowerPoint you already have or start from scratch, but be sure it is saved in the most recent format.
Interacting with Office Mix – Slide Recording Deliver the PowerPoint as you normally would, and this will record it. Tip: Having a stylus (or touchable screen) is preferable, so you can interact and draw within your Mix.

Interacting with Office Mix – Quizzes, Videos, Apps Allows you to add quiz questions, videos, and apps to your presentation. A great way to check for understanding in smaller chunks! Click the Office Store the first time. Once you’ve trusted an app, it will be stored in your “My Apps” tab. This will embed content into your presentation, so you do not have to leave it to access another program.

Exploration Time Options for worktime: Begin a new PowerPoint and explore Office Mix while making each slide Open a past PowerPoint and start testing it out Make sure to choose “Save As” so that you create a separate file from your original PowerPoint. Share your Mix with someone in the room and view the analytics when they’ve watched it.

Clock Hour Information Lunch and Learn participants are eligible to earn clock ours after attending a minimum of three sessions. On or after June 10 th, participants who are eligible to receive clock hours will receive notification identifying the number of qualified hours along with directions for payment and submission. Participants have until the last day of school to request clock hours and make payment to Professional Development. You will also receive your assignment that must be completed in order to fulfill the district clock requirement. This will be due by June 17 th.
