Chimpanzees are chubby. Chimpanzees have black and brown hair all life long. Chimpanzees faces are light pink with a little beard. (They are really cute!)

Chimpanzees live in tropical rain forests, woodlands, swamp, forests, and grasslands in western Africa.(Most live in trees.)

Chimpanzees eat plants, meat, fruit, seeds, tree bark, plant bulbs, tender plant shoots, flowers, ants, termites, and small animals. (Some eat young monkeys.)

Chimpanzees enemies are hunters (humans).Leopards, cheetahs, and tigers.Their enemies are really big. They have 4 enemies. That’s a lot of enemies for chimpanzees.

Chimpanzees are endangered animals.They rarely live past the age 50 in the wild, but have been known to reach the age of 60 in captivity.Standing approximately 4 feet high, males weigh between 90 and 120 pounds, while females weigh between 60 and 110 pounds.An estimated 100,000 to 200,000 chimpanzees remain in the wild.Chimpanzees can be found in 21 African countries.
