Measuring College and Career Readiness PARCC UPDATE: NJ STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION DECEMBER 2, 2015
PARCC FALL BLOCK ADMINISTRATION The second PARCC administration began on November 9 th in New Jersey. This is the first time NJ has offered a fall testing window for students on a block schedule. Students enrolled in a terminal fall semester course in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II or ELA 9, ELA 10 or ELA 11 are expected to test. No major issues to report. Questions and concerns have been considered routine. As of last night, 13,586 tests have been completed in NJ. Over 28,000 tests have been completed across 5 PARCC states (IL, MD, NJ, NM and RI).
PARCC SPRING 2015 COMPARISONS The department released PARCC Spring 2015 state-level results on October 20, The results cannot be compared to previous assessment results. However, the state data can be compared against the PARCC data to provide a barometer of New Jersey student performance. The PARCC data consists of student performance from 10 states (Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, and Rhode Island) and DC that administered PARCC in spring 2015.
