Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII PHYSICAL PROPERTY AND CHEMICAL PROPERTY  Extensive property : matreial property that depends on the amount and the size of substance such as volume, mass, and weight.  Intensive property : the material property that depends on neither the amount nor the size of substance, such as colour, aroma, freezing, melting, soluting, steaming, and sublimating. The intensive property of material can be grouped into two kinds as follows:  Physical property: the material property that can be observed where it does not change permanently, such as colour, aroma, taste, hardness, boiling point, and melting point.  Chemical property: the material property that can be observed while it is changing permanently, such as colour change, reactivity, stability, etc. Material property Extensive property Intensive property Physical property Chemical property

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII PHYSICAL PROPERTY A.PHYSICAL PROPERTY  SUBSTANCE FORM we have recognized three kinds of substance, solid, liquid, and gas. THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SOLID, LIQUID, AND GAS NU.SOLIDLIQUIDGAS Having certain volume and shape close-distance particle Particles can not move freely The shape changes to the container shape, having certain volume. Rather wide apart particles Particles can move rather freely Not having shape and the volume depends on the place Wide apart particles Particles can move very freely

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII PHYSICAL PROPERTY  TURBIDITY Turbidity occurs for liquid. Liquid turbidity is caused by the soft suspension particle. If light passes through the turbid liquid, the intensity will get down by spreading out.  VISCOSITY Viscosity is the standard of substance resistance in flowing. To know the flow rate of liquid, we can use viscometer. Flow rate is used for counting the index of viscosity. index of viscosity can be formulated as follows : Index of viscosity Liquid flow rate Water flow rate

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII PHYSICAL PROPERTY  BOILING POINT Boiling point is the temperature while a liquid is boiling. Boiling is different with evaporating, boiling occurs when it is in certain temperature, or boiling point. While evaporating occurs in any temperature below the boiling point, for example when we are drying clothes, the water is evaporating, not boiling.  MELTING POINT Melting point is the temperature when solid substance becomes liquid substance, such as the salt melts because of heating.

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII PHYSICAL PROPERTY  SOLUBILITY Solubility explains the level of soluble substance. The grain of salt contains ion of natrium and chloride that are bound together in a formation called crystal-grid. Water solutes the salt by pulling the ion from crystal-grid and keep staying around(circuming ambulate). Solubility is influenced by some factors as follows : a)Temperature b)Solvent volume c)Size of soluble substance d)Kind of soluble substance e)kind of solvent Water molecules Chloride ionNatrium ion Water molecules pull the crystal ions Water molecules stay around the ion

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII CHEMICAL PROPERTY  BURNABLE by knowing the characteristics of burnable substances, we will be able to use it safely.  DECOMPOSED AND SOUR The chemical reaction occurring on food or drink makes them decomposed and taste sour. For instance, letting rice reacts with air for days will cause the rice rotten. The milk becoming sour. B. CHEMICAL PROPERTY

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII CHEMICAL PROPERTY  CORROSION The reaction between metal and oxygen causes corrosion. Metal like iron and zinc are very easy to corrode.  EXPLOSIVE The interaction of some substances with oxygen is possible to cause explosion, e.g. : magnesium, uranium, and natrium.

Electindo.com PHYSICS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL VII CHEMICAL PROPERTY  POISONOUS There are some poisonous chemical substances, e.g. : insecticide, pesticide, fungicide, herbicide, and rat poison. Those poisonous substances used by human for kill of the insects and rats. Insecticide
