Travel The Ottawa Indians traveled all over the great lakes. The Ottawa Indians made canoes out of birch bark and then traveled in them. The Indians followed animals to north America.

Travel  They also walked places.  The Ottawa had sleds and snow shoes.  There were no horses until the colonists brought them over from Europe.

Travel  The Ottawa used snow shoes and sleds to travel in the winter.  They dressed up as animals to blend in with the animals while they followed the animals around the world.  The Ottawa Indians were known for their canoes.

Climate  All Indians had four seasons. Winter, summer, spring, and last but not least fall.  Winter was cold and snowy.  Summer was hot.  Spring was rainy.  Fall was mild.

Climate o There seasons are the same as our seasons that we have. o It is harder for them to survive in the winter because they can’t buy stuff like we can.
