EnvironmentEnvironnementCanada Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia September 5 – 7, Kyoto Commitment CANADA:  June signed Framework Convention on Climate Change, Earth Summit, Rio de Janeiro.  April 1998 – signed the Kyoto Protocol on Climate Change, United Nations, New York.  October 2000 – announced Action Plan 2000 on Climate Change, Ottawa.  November 2002 – released the Climate Change Plan, Ottawa.  December 2002 – ratified the Kyoto Protocol.  February 2005 – Kyoto Protocol entered into force.  April 2005 – released Moving Forward on Climate Change: A Plan for Honouring Our Kyoto Commitment.  Nov. 28 to Dec. 9, 2005 – Canada to host the Conference of Parties (COP11), Montréal, Québec.
