History of Quebec QQQQuebec was founded by Sameul de Champlain in July 3,1608 IIIIt started out as a trading post for French settlers IIIIroquois lived in villages along the St.Lawrence River.

 The origin of these foods goes back to 1534 when the French first came to Quebec.  Used lots of spices like chives, rosemary, sage and thyme.  made cheese such as the modern Laughing Cow and Other cheese.

Quebec National Day, also known as St. John the Baptist’s Day (or St. Jean Baptiste Day), is celebrated on June 24th. It is a statutory holiday in Quebec. On this day, French Canadians honor their patron saint, Saint Jean-Baptiste (John the Baptist). The province observes this legal holiday, called Quebec National Day (Fete Nationale des Quebecois), with solemn ceremonies followed by lively festivities and art and sports events.
