Environment Canada Funding Programs Environment Canada has a number of funding programs to support wildlife and the environment. Four key programs are: Habitat Stewardship Program Focus on recovery of species at risk and preventing species from becoming at risk Aboriginal Funds for Species at Risk Focus on recovery of species at risk and preventing species from becoming at risk; targeted to Aboriginal communities and organizations National Wetland Conservation Fund Focus on restoring and enhancing degraded wetland habitats EcoAction Community Funding Program Focus on clean air, clean water, and nature in communities

Environment Canada Funding Programs All four are competitive, application-based programs Aboriginal communities and organizations are eligible to apply to all four One round of applications per year in fall Various requirements for matching funds, depending on the program Most programs fund projects in the $10,000 - $100,000 range
