Who Do I Think I am? BY: ALLY MARQUEZ

My Mothers Side:  For all that I know is that side of the family came from Poland and maybe Ireland this is only from what I have heard but yet still don’t know.

My Dad’s Side:  I know his dad’s family originates from Mexico, Zacatecas but my dad was born here in the United States. And I think his mothers side was from Germany.

Why I think they came here:  I think my Mothers side came here maybe because they were forced out of the country or maybe they had a voyage to go to a new country.

(Cont.)  Why I think my dads side had came here was maybe just to start fresh in the United States they wanted something new in there lives or maybe it just might have got to poor in those areas.

The arrival:  My moms parents have moved place to place since her father was in the military but there first arrival was in Virgina.

(Cont.)  They have moved everywhere since each of her siblings were born in different states, my mom was born in Nebraska.

 They have moved everywhere all over the United states but finally ended up living in California and actually stayed.

My dad’s family arrival:  His family I think had ended up in southern California and had stayed ever since, he was born in Garden Grove. Then his mom eventually moved to Utah for a job opportunity while my dad stayed here.

My Mom now:  They had both met in the Inland Empire and had stayed every since, my moms family some of them lives in Nebraska and some here in California.

My Dad now:  My dads family some descendants are still in Mexico while others are spread up in Northern and southern California.

Wave of Immigration:  I think for my mom side of the family the wave of immigration might have been second wave because that’s when the Polish and Irish had came over to the United States.

(Cont.)  I think my dads side came during the fourth wave of immigration because that’s when Latin American came to the Unites States. But the German side maybe came during the second wave.

Conclusion:  I think all of this was very important to know, it was very interesting to all the places where each side actually originated from. And I can’t wait to start actually learning more information and how deeper to what I fully am.
