America alone recycles 28 percent of all plastic bottles, that’s 2.4 billion plastic bottles. America alone recycles 28 percent of all plastic bottles, that’s 2.4 billion plastic bottles. Plastic is 100 % recyclable and can be stretched to make lighter cans Plastic is 100 % recyclable and can be stretched to make lighter cans In recent years, the number of U.S. plastics recycling business has nearly tripled. Over 64% of all glass breaks before it even gets to the recycling plant, over 99 percent of plastic gets to plant compared to metals cans 80 percent. Over 64% of all glass breaks before it even gets to the recycling plant, over 99 percent of plastic gets to plant compared to metals cans 80 percent. Glass is more expensive to make then both but then again making aluminum makes toxic waste. Sure plastic has the most waste but that is because we consume 28.3 gallons of water in plastic water bottles.
