POWER SUPPLY THE POWER SUPPLY SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE COMPENENTS IN THE SYSTEM UNIT BIOS THE PROCESSOR FINDS THE ROM CHIPS THAT CONTAINS THE BIOS POST THE BIOS PERFORMS THE POST WHICH CHECKS COMPENENTS, SUCH AS THE MOUSE, KEYBOARD AND ADAPTER CARDS CMOS THE RESULTS OF THE POST ARE COMPARED WITH DATA IN A CMOS CHIP HARD DISK THEBIOS SOMETIMES LOOK FOR THE SYSTEM FILES ON A USB FLASH DRIVE OR ON A CD OR DVD DRIVE AND THE DRIVE C ( HARD DISK) RAM THE SYSTEM FILE AND THE KERNEL OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM LOAD INTO MEMORY (RAM) FROM STORAGE SCREEN THE OPERATING SYSTEM LOADS CONFIGURATION INFORMATION AND DISPLAYS THE DESKTOP ON THE SCREEN

3A.(2B) Jerry sent Tom a picture file as JPEG. Tom opens it and wants to convert it to a GIF. What is the best way Tom should do? Open the JPEG file using the image-editing software you normally use. Adjust the size or perform any other editing functions that you desire before you convert the format. Click on the “File” menu and choose “Save as...” Use the arrow for the drop- down menu next to “Save as type” and choose the GIF option. Choose your desired folder, if you want to change the file folder or location where the computer will save the file. Save the file by hitting the save button.
