Warm Up What did you do to prepare for our first science test?

What can you learn from your first earth science test results?

Answer the Following in Your Journal: How well do you think you did on the science test? What did you feel were your strongest areas while preparing for the test? What did you feel were your weakest areas while preparing for the test?

What is your learning style? Complete Learning Style Questionnaire If your highest total is in Section A, you are a Seeing Learner If your highest total is in Section B, you are a Hearing Learner If your highest total is in Section C, you are a Doing Learner

Study Methods for Seeing Learners Highlight or underline the main idea in your notes Use outlining or mapping as you read To study for a test, do something you can see: draw pictures, copy notes, use graphic organize, draw time lines Use index cards to make flashcards

Study Methods for Hearing Learners Read difficult passages aloud instead of silently Record your notes, vocabulary, math facts, etc. and play them back to help you learn Use music to help you learn – sing your review to a song you know or make one up Have someone quiz you over your material
