Objectif de la formation This training complies with the requirements stipulated in paragraph 11.2.3.10 of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 185/2010 This training is mandatory for those persons whose occupation involves handling: air carrier mail and air carrier materials in-flight supplies airport supplies Handling = reception, preparation, packaging, storage, transportation and delivery of in-flight supplies and airport supplies It concerns the following companies: Air carriers Regulated suppliers of in-flight supplies and their subcontractors Known suppliers of in-flight supplies and their subcontractors Known suppliers of airport supplies and their subcontractors Definition of in-flight supplies and airport supplies: Supplies are considered to be "in-flight supplies" when they are identifiable as items intended to be taken on board an aircraft for use, consumption or purchase by passengers or crew during a flight Supplies are considered to be "airport supplies" when they cannot be identified as items intended to be sold, used or made available for any purpose or activity in security restricted areas of airports (SRA) The term "identifiable" signifies that only those supplies intended to be transported by aircraft or to be used in an airport are concerned by the security measures Air carrier mail - COMAIL: Mail whose origin and destination are both an air carrier Air carrier materials - COMAT: Materials whose origin and destination are both an air carrier, or that are used by an air carrier

Definition of the security Introduction ICAO in its annex 17 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation defines security as” safeguarding civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference”. This objective is achieved by a combination of measures and human and material resources. Establishing a Security Restricted Area - SRA, whose purpose is, among others, to protect the boarding operations, The establishment of a SRA is always accompanied by access control measures, Screening of passenger and cabin baggage is a measure requiring human resources, which are the screening staff, and also material resources, which are screening equipments, The same applies for screening hold baggage, The screening of cargo is also a security measure, similar to the screening of passenger and cabin baggage, Security awareness training and other security trainings are other examples of security measures. The primary objective of aviation security is to safeguard: • Passengers, • Crew, • Ground personnel, • And the General Public, from acts of unlawful interference with Civil Aviation Aviation Security also seeks to protect aircraft and facilities serving civil aviation, such as: Essential airport facilities, Cargo facilities, Catering buildings, Cleaning facilities and air traffic control centers against acts of unlawful interference

Unlawful interference Cargo characteristics what are the main characteristics?
