 Population: approx 5 million.  Capital: Copenhagen, population: 1 million.  Second: Aarhus, population:  Healthcare system: Free acces to health care.  Private insurence system parallel.  Private hospitals accounts for approx. 1.5 % of public healthcare costs. Basic data on Denmark

 348 ENT specialists in Denmark  9 ENT departments  160 ENT doctors in private practise (all financed by the public health care system). ENT health care in Denmark

ENT specialist training in Denmark The 7 roles of the doctor

 1 year of basic training.  1,5 years of specialist training at hospital.  6 months in audiology department.  6 months in private practise.  1.5 years specialist training at hospital.  Total of 5 years of ENT training, of these 4 years in specialist training programme. Duration of the specialist training.

Log book, elements in all 7 doctoral roles. Evaluation interview with supervisor (appox 1 pr 3 months) After each element the trainee evaluates the department. Means of evaluation
