Offered as sacrifice by father.  Joseph—Son of Jacob/Israel. Grandson of Isaac. Traveled to Egypt. A favorite of the Pharaoh. Gave food to Israelites.

 Pharaoh has male babies slain.  Moses’ mother sends him down the Nile in a basket.  Moses found by the Pharaoh’s daughter.  Moses leaves Egypt after killing a guard.  Moses marries and has a child.  God speaks to Moses via a burning bush.  God instructs Moses to return to Egypt and deliver the Jews from bondage.
