Spanish The things I helped do were: Coloring in the background (red, blue), Some of the handwriting (Tasnia did some too) and gluing on pictures from the magazines!

Reading  Two reading strategies I use while reading are.... CCheck for understanding RRecognize cause & effect relationships Please show your examples. Book: Seekers: The Quest Begins Page: 133 Strategy: Check for understanding The smallest spot of ice gleamed in the sky above Her, reminding her of Nisa and Taqqiq. I didn’t understand the first words but I kept reading And I found out I needed to know that information later in the book. Book: Seekers: The Quest Begins (In the book not a certain page) Strategy: Cause & Effect Oka left her cub, Toklo alone in the wild, which made Toklo feel unsafe and scared. Cause- Oka left Toklo Effect- Toklo was really scared and felt alone

AR Progress As of March 19 th,2012, I currently have AR points. My goal for the year is to have 150 points.

Something that I enjoy about reading at school is that it is always so quiet. Sometimes when I try and read at home, my house is really loud. I just like that it is really very quiet here at school.

Writing How have you grown as a writer? When I write stories I now have a lot of different ways to begin and end the story. I also learned how to fit details into the story in a way where you don’t make it to obvious, but you fit the details in there still. Go to your Wiki page and share your writing.

In Social Studies……….. Please share your Slave Trade project. Explain your contribution to the group project. Something I have learned in Social Studies this year is…… I learned about sailors and explorers in history. I learned what their trips were like and where their trips went. I learned about Henry Hudson and Christopher Columbus and a lot of other sailors. I learned things about how queens and kings helped some of the sailors including Christopher Columbus. Some of the kings and queens included Queen Isabella.

Science  Please show your Nutrition Log and graph. lease show your Inspiration Web and Glog. (Science Page) ce

Inspiration For Food Groups

In Mathematics 1. Please show your Math Tutorial on the iPad. 2. If you are in Mrs. Levitt’s math class, play Name that number.

This graph is showing my math grades for the year so far. It shows what percentage I got and when I did better, and when I did worse!

Strengths  One of my strengths is using technology. I am proud of this because I like to help people and when somebody needs help with the wiki or with something about technology, I can help them with their problem. Another of my strengths is Spanish. I am proud of this because when I get older I want to be able to speak two different languages fluently and be able to take trips to Spain, or any of the Spanish speaking countries and be able to understand what they are saying. One thing I’d like to work on is reading fluently.  I want to try and read out loud with very few mistakes instead of having to pause every time I accidentally pronounced a word wrong or used the wrong word.

March 6 th, 2012 Dear Mom, Dad, and Tracy, Thank you for coming to my conference today. I hope you really like how I am doing in school. I also hope you liked my conference!! Thank you for helping me with my home work through out the year when I didn’t understand the homework. Thanks so much for helping me, and teaching me things over when I needed to refresh my memory. Thanks so much again!!! Love, Your daughter, Lindsay
