Get ready to ShakeOut! 9:15am, 15 October 2015
During this lecture/tutorial or staff meeting, we will be conducting an exercise drill. When you see the following image, it is time to: Drop, Cover and Hold. It’s almost time to ShakeOut
Massey University encourages everyone to take part in this earthquake drill as a way of becoming better prepared to respond to an earthquake; however, participation is not compulsory. If you are not comfortable taking part in this earthquake drill for any reason, you may choose not to, and may leave the room before the drill which take place at 9.15am. About ShakeOut at Massey
Events – including fire or earthquake drills – may trigger unexpectedly strong emotions in some people, even if they were not directly affected by the Christchurch earthquakes. These reactions are a completely normal response to an abnormal event! If you would like support to deal with any emotions or experiences you may have, please contact one of the Massey’s support services: Student Health & Counselling Services Chaplaincy/Religious Services EAP (for Staff only) Support services
