The Mayan city of Copan Located in present-day Honduras Had a grand ball court where the fierce Maya ball game Poktu-Pok was played Players wore helmets and padding on arms and legs (the game was ROUGH!)
Poktu-Pok Used a five pound solid rubber ball Included two teams each team would rush up and down the court trying to get the ball through a stone hoop If they succeeded, they won the game
