Kinds of stress

- 1 - Stress related to survival – fear of losing health or in situations when we face a challenge.

- 2 – The internal stress – constant worring events, tension, approach to life.

- 3 – Stress related to environment and work – stressful environment in which we work or live. It may also result from noise, pollution, mess, conflict. Deadlines, presentations also cause stress associated with our work.

- 4 – Tiredness and overwork – stress increases over a long period of time. Chronic stress appears when trying to achieve too much, or if we can not manage our time efficiently.

The effect of stress on our body: - anxiety, - raised blood pressure - heart palpitations, - frequent headaches, - it can lead to stroke and heart attack.

- problems with the digestive system - stomach ache - vomiting - diarrhea - constipation - lack of appetite.

Stress can also lead to: - high blood pressure, - osteoarthritis, - diabetes - overweight - obesity.

Stress also causes: - difficulty in concentration, - mood swings, - tiredness, - depression.

We can combat stress in many ways, one of the best and most effective is regular practising physical exercise.

The influence of physical exercise on the human body: It prevents the high blood pressure. It improves oxygenation of the body. It helps to relax mentally. It increases immunity. It improves metabolism.

In our school, within the Grundtvig project, we offer different ways of fighting stress. One of them are fitness classes with music.

More activities less stress Less stress = HEALTH
