Vocabulary and their usages: thirteen vocabularies, namely eleven, birth, present, sure, focus, correct, explain, clear, turn, check, friend, notice, and take.

3 Taking a photograph Patsy was eleven years old yesterday.

4 Taking a photograph Her uncle gave her a camera for a birthday present.

5 She asked her uncle how to use it.

6 focus ‘There are two things to remember, Patsy,’ he said. ‘First, you must make sure the focus is correct.’ Correct focus: The picture is clear. Wrongnot Wrong focus: The picture is not clear.

7 ‘Tell me how I do that,’ Patsy said. ‘You look through the lens,’ her uncle explained. ‘Then you move the lens until the picture is clear.’ He showed her how to turn the lens.
