Missoula County Space Needs Plan Planning Logistics Phasing Plan Schematic Designs Questions

Planning Missoula County has engaged in planning efforts around space needs for county functions for the last decade. The opportunity to purchase the admin building was the domino that made the planning come to fruition. In July, 2010 County project staff, A&E Architects, and department heads met to develop program documents outlining functional requirements (e.g., conference rooms, offices, work stations) and anticipated growth in each department.

Planning Program documents were finalized and used as the foundation for developing schematic designs for newly renovated space. County project staff have met weekly with A&E Architects and department personnel since November, 2010 to develop schematic designs that accurately reflect operational and functional requirements for each department.

Planning The space needs initiative is happening concurrently with a number of other county- wide initiatives (e.g., ECMS, CSA, adding the Health Department to the County network, ongoing renovations at the PHC offices, the FY2012 budget). Please remember that every department is doing their best to accommodate a great deal of change at a variety of operational levels.
