1.Confidence 2.Codes of conduct 3.Fill in the missing word ….. is the quickness of movement of a limb. It relates to a performers ability to cover a distance or perform a movement in a short time 4.Open / Closed 5.Decision Making

Task Watch the basketball video clip opposite and complete the table below in your class jotter. Activity: BasketballUse tally marks every time you see evidence that the model performer walks/jogs/sprints MinuteWalksJogsSprints

Task In the middle of a new jotter page write the word SPEED Write down as many words or phrases as you can think of that explain why speed is important in basketball. Every 1 minute swap jotters with the other members of your group and add to their graffiti poster.

Sentences created for your graffiti posters / group responses If I am faster than my opponent, I can move away from them, and into space to receive a pass. This makes it easier for my teammates to pass to me because there is less chance of an interception. As a team we are faster than the opposition. This means we can break up court before they get back and set-up their defence. This allows us to score easily with an unopposed lay-up. I can dribble faster than my opponent, meaning I am able to dribble to the basket and score with an unopposed lay-up. I am faster than my opponent. This means that when we loose possession of the ball, I can get back and help set up our defence. This makes it more difficult for the opposition to score.

Due: Monday 16 th September Task 1:Join Edmodo group Task 2: Revise factors table Task 3: Choose a Physical Fitness Factor: ___________ Task 4:Explain in detail why your chosen factor was important.
