Rainy Weather Procedures at Monte Vista

 There is no cover beyond the fencing that surrounds the school. If you plan to be at school before 8:00am, bring your umbrella! The Main Office will not be an entry point on rainy days The Main Office will not be an entry point on rainy days. The F building gate and the blacktop gate will provide primary entry points as they do each regular session day. The MPR will be open to ALL students to take shelter before the first morning bell. MPR and Gym Availability by Grade Level

 The GYM will be open to grade 7 and grade 8 students only during both lunch periods Lunch Specific Locations  The MPR will be open to grade 6 students only during both lunch periods On Rainy Days, grade 6 students MUST eat with their own grade level in the MPR and cannot self select into the Gym.

Line A Five students at a time will be directed through the building Line B Five students at a time will be directed through the building Line C Five students at a time will be directed through the building  The grade 7/8 Lunch Shelters will be used by ALL students to form three lines.  Students will enter the usual way as they are called five at a time from each line while waiting under the lunch shelter. During the Lunch Period Board Games will be available for play in the foyer of the GYM and in the MPR Boys and Girls Restrooms are available in the Foyer for all grades. Sixth graders will enter the foyer from the blacktop only (no entry through the GYM) No Chrome Books, Cell Phones, or Electronic gaming devices may be used. Conversations are encouraged. Students may also pack a rainy day game in the bag such as Tangoes or a Deck of Cards.
