Technology Planning Process Diane Fleming, SI Consultant Office of Education Improvement and Innovation
Technology + Teaching and Learning What has the collaboration between technology and curriculum looked like in your district/ ISD/ RESA? How are school improvement teams communicating their technology needs around teaching and learning to their technology department? How is the technology department communicating the preferred future about classroom technology and system technology to the users?
Getting Ready for the 2015/16 School Year Individuals serving in the Technology Director and Curriculum Director roles need put together a process in order to complete the following in the 2015/2016 school improvement planning year: Tag any existing technology related Activities in ASSIST (academic and organizational; school and district) Review each school’s Academic Goals in ASSIST and add any missing technology related activities
Getting Ready for the 2015/16 School Year Once each school’s technology needs are identified, the Technology Director and the Curriculum Director can build a Technology Goal in ASSIST: The instructional technology needs of all schools will be included in the District Goal. The operational needs of all schools will be included in the District Goal. The operational needs of the district will be included in the District Goal. Once this is completed, a “technology report” can be generated that documents all of the technology initiatives in one report.
