Summer Reading 2014 Warrior Run Middle School 5 th and 6 th Grades

How it works Sign up in the library. Check out up to six books from the library. (This year’s theme is, “Fizz Boom Read!”) Set a reading goal for yourself. Keep track of how many minutes you read each day. Try to reach your grade goal – 3000 minutes! Reach your grade goal and be recognized as a “Distinguished Summer Reader!” Come to our pizza party in September to celebrate the Distinguished Summer Readers.

Important Dates May – Sign-ups in the library May – Instructions provided on how to submit minutes read May 27 – Summer read officially begins September 9 – Summer read officially ends You have 107 days to read 3000 minutes! That’s 30 minutes a day! You CAN do it!

May Sign-up in the library Worksheet for tracking: – minutes – personal goal progress – grade goal progress – books read Submit minutes online –

May Make sure you have any books you want checked out from the library Complete your worksheet tracker See Mrs. B or Miss Dingee with any questions.

May 27 Start reading! Keep track of your minutes! – On your worksheet – Submit online: Read 30 minutes a day or more to reach 3000 minutes!

September 9 Summer reading ends! Make sure you submitted all your minutes online and recorded them on your worksheet. Turn in your worksheets to the library. Did you reach your personal goal? Did you reach your grade level goal? Did you have a fun summer?!

Distinguished Summer Readers minutes – we celebrate you! The library invites you to a pizza party to celebrate your accomplishments! Great work! You should be very proud.
