Ivy Tech Dual Credit Program

What is the dual credit program? High school students get to earn high school and Ivy Tech college credits at the same time No tuition Taught by high school teachers

How will it help high school students? Looks great on transcripts Gives a feel for what taking college courses will be like Colleges will consider it an advantage; a better chance for acceptance Can earn a better high school diploma – Core 40 with Technical & Advanced Honors Prepares you for college College credits without any tuition fees

How does a student enroll? Student must meet the required PSAT, COMPASS, SAT, and/or ACT scores Student must submit a signed Ivy Tech application around the same time as they figure out their schedule for next year First semester of dual credit takes place at beginning of first semester Taking two courses starts at the beginning of the second semester

What if a student wants to withdraw? Withdrawing or getting poor grades in dual credit course is included in your college transcript Can affect getting into a good college, so consider it seriously before signing up in the first place After completing 75% of the course, student can withdraw
