Problem Statement At the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) in Green Bank, West Virginia, it has one of the largest astronomical telescopes in the world. They have done extensive pulsar research. Over the years they have develop sophisticated digital backends in support of pulsar research and pulsar timing projects. In order to test these backends to make sure they are working properly, an artificial pulsar is needed.
