In the late 1950’s American Culture was brewing towards what would become one of the most turbulent decades in the lifetime of the nation. The 1960’s would be a time of great internal struggle, with the civil rights movement, the involvement in the Vietnam War, and the assassination of a president promising change. But, the Beatles’ arrival from Liverpool, England would trigger the musical revolution of the Sixties. Their Crisp harmonies, energetic singing and playing, and canny pop instincts introduced a modern sound and viewpoint that parted ways with the world of the previous decade.

The Beatles started out as The Quarrymen when John Lennon set out to start a group to play the 50’s rockabilly he was raised listening to. With Paul McCartney on Bass, George Harrison on Guitar, and Pete Best on drums, the group covered hits from Chuck Berry and Little Richard, as well as many other rock and roll and rhythm & blues artists.

In 1960, the Quarrymen change their name to Johnny and the Moondogs , then to the Silver Beatles , and finally they stuck with the Beatles! After replacing Stu Sutcliffe with Ringo Starr as drummer, the Beatles were picked up by a record store owner, named Brian Epstein after being discovered at the Cavern Club. He quickly became their manager.

The second single, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” The Beatles first single in the U.K. is “Love Me Do,” released in October 1962 …it reaches #21 The second single, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” is released on Capitol Records, in December 1963. “I Want to Hold Your Hand” tops the Billboard singles chart for seven weeks.

THE STORY OF PAUL'S DEATH The story states that Paul McCartney was involved in a car accident. Apparently "he hadn't noticed that the lights had changed." The accident occurred at 5 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. Cause of death was massive head trauma. So severe were his wounds that dental records were useless for identifying the body. A Paul McCartney look alike contest was held. William Campbell won first place, but the results were never announced. Campbell's prize was to be made a clone of Paul for photos, videos, movies, etc. Plastic surgery was used to smooth out the minor differences. They failed to fix a scar on Campbell's upper lip - this is how you can tell authentic McCartney photos from the Campbell ones. http://www.paulisdeadhoax.com/
