More on Hinduism  Hindus worship thousands of gods, each is a part of a single supreme force called Brahman.  Their 3 main gods were named Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva.  Hindu beliefs about rebirth and karma are closely tied to the caste system. The caste system had developed in ancient times.

 Founder: Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha)  Place of Worship: Monasteries and Convents  Text: Three Baskets of Wisdom

 Buddha came up with the idea called the 4 noble truths  #1: Suffering is universal.  #2: The cause of suffering is desire.  #3: The only way to end suffering is to crush desire.  #4: The way to end desire is to follow the Noble Eightfold Path.
