RESOURCING TOOL

BreakOut: a searchable resourcing information tool Funds for academic study, research, sport, arts, personal and professional development. Lists around 4000 scholarships and grants Updated daily with new funds added each week.

Types of Funding Grant, Scholarship, Fellowship Awarded based upon criteria, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the fund. Money does not have to be repaid. Funders: Government; local authorities; philanthropic and gaming trusts; service and social enterprise organisations.

Who can apply? Anyone can apply for funding. Apply to different funds according to criteria that is relevant to you. Most opportunities are for New Zealanders wanting study in New Zealand. Does include some opportunities for New Zealanders wanting to travel and/or study overseas.

Examples Maxine Scholarship: offers financial assistance to talented young Aucklanders between aged for a course of study and/or materials in the areas of education, the arts, dance and drama, music, fashion and sport. AMP Regional Scholarship: rewards those with the courage, passion, determination and commitment to achieve their chosen goal no matter what obstacles lie in their path.
