PRIVACY AND DIGNITY OF THE PATIENT MAINTAINING STERILITY DURING THE PROCEDURE HAVING ALL THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENTS NEEDED SET UP

 * introduce the theatre team to the patient as soon as he/she enters the anaesthetic room

 * make sure the patient is covered throughout the procedure  * put signs on all theatre doors to prevent people from coming in

 * make use of the appropriate drape for the patient

 * follow the theatre setup for an awake craniotomy

 * make sure all the leads and cables are the right length and not too long that it might fall to the floor

 * discuss with the theatre team prior to operation what special equipment is needed

 With this transparent drape the surgeon can interact with the patient more often and can see the patient through it
