NOWHERE TO HIDE A LESSON ON GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE PSALM 139: 7-12

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? Psalm 139:7

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence IF I ascend into Heaven I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence IF I ascend in to Heaven O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” Psalm 16:2

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. Psalm 139:8

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence IF I make my bed in Hell All the brothers of the poor hate him; How much more do his friends go far from him! He may pursue them with words, yet they abandon him. Proverbs 19:7

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence IF I make my bed in Hell The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, But the rich has many friends. Proverbs 14:20

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence IF I make my bed in Hell John 10:10 – “life more abundantly” 1 Peter 4:12 – “do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you”

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence Your hand shall lead me For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

The Positive of God’s Omnipresence Your hand shall lead me In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Psalm 18:6

Is there a negative to God’s omnipresence If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Psalm 139:11

Is there a negative to God’s omnipresence Surely the darkness shall fall on me And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13

Is there a negative to God’s omnipresence Surely the darkness shall fall on me If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; Psalm 139:11-12a

Why would someone run from God? Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? Psalm 139:7

Why would someone run from God? But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up. Jonah 1:3-4

Why would someone run from God? The darkness and the light are both alike to You. Psalm 139:12b

God is a place of forgiveness and comfort Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
