Johannes Brahms Johannes was born May 7, 1833 in Hamburg, Germany. He's a German composer often referred as the "successor of Beethoven" He's also a pianist, and his first music lessons were taught by his father.

Johannes Brahms cont... One major influence on Brahms is Beethoven. Brahms even had a marble bust of Beethoven looked down on Brahms as composed. He wrote four symphonies, and all of them were masterpieces.
