Collecting stories from people who were attending courses. Our participants expressed their oppinion in written or oral form about learning in their life. It was presentation of two year project to the local community and our project learners expressed their opinion about learning in their life.

Some three years ago life long learning was just an expression to me. When I decided to join English language courses I knew some words, but mostly my vocabulary was poor. Now, after my teacher Sigita helped me, I can tell that I know the basics of English. Surely I’d be lost if a real englishman would speak to me, but I could help him or her somehow. Now I’m reading children’s book in english and I’m feeling more and more confident about my chances to master this language one day. Hope such kind of European projects as Grundtvig “ I go on learning to make Europe my home” will not outrun our community in future. I attended ICT courses and right now I’m not affraid of computer anymore. Just some month ago I couldn’t make myself try it and right now I’m using skype program to contact my dear sister who lives in London. Actually I use some other programs too: I know how to find some information by using different search engines, I read newspapers and I can register to doctors appointment online. Isn’t this great? Possibility to learn something new is allways great as it provides ability to improve yourself. I was surprised I could make myself learn again and my good memory and a quick catch of things was surprise too. Right now I’m still unemployed, but I’m quite confident, because I feel myself much better in using the computer. I hope I’ll be able to come here to learn again, because the possibility to attend free courses is quite unique. Laima Gaižauskienė
