AGARTALA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION Energy Efficient Street Lighting System Project by EESL In Agartala City

Introduction Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Energy Efficiency Services Limited(A JV company of PSUs of Ministry of Power, Government of India) signed on 9th December 2014 to replace 32216 conventional lights with LED street lights. EESL to install, operate & maintain these LED street lights over 10 years. Entire capital cost by EESL, repayment of the capital cost will be made through the savings on energy bills LED Streetlight Pilot Project being inaugurated by Hon’ble Power Minister/UD (Govt. of Tripura) on 8th January, 2015

Benefits to AMC Annual Energy Savings = 5.40 Million Units Annual Cost Savings = Rs. 3.77 Crores Annual Maintenance Savings = Rs. 0.32 Crores Total Annual Savings = Rs. 4.08 Crores EESL Annuity = Rs. 5.18 Crores -------------------------------------------------------------

Project Implementation 31640 Lights replaced in 60 days from the date of placement of LOI to manufacturers. Balance 576 Lights will be completed by 30th June 2015 Centrally Controlled Monitoring System (CCMS) to be installed by 15th August, 2015
