Nutrition Diet Analysis  Obj. 1: Students will be able to utilize the super tracker program provided by the USDA  Obj. 2: Students will choose two goals form the options listed in the program  Obj. 3: Students will enter their food intake (for 4 weeks) into the program and analyze their diets.  Obj. 4: Students will describe changes they want and need to make in their diet and exercise program and explain why it’s important to make those changes

1 st : Create/enter your profile o Located in blue on the middle right of the screen. o Fill in all steps and click submit at the bottom when finished.

2 nd : Click My Top 5 Goals o Select weight management o Pick a goal and enter the weight if needed, then click add o Select physical activity o Type in minutes you will perform per week, then click add o Select Calories o Check Stay within my calorie limit, then click add  NOW YOU ARE READY TO LOG IN YOUR INFORMATION

Click on Food Tracker Put in the correct date for your diet Type in the food item that you ate and check off the appropriate box for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks Starting with Sunday’s breakfast and lunch…

Click Physical Activity Tracker o Select the activity performed o Select the day(s) you performed it and enter the time for that given day(s)

Click on My Reports o Click on Nutrients o Enter the date range for your diet to be analyzed. o Then click create report as Excel Document.

PROJECT GRADE: 25 PTS: PRINT OUT OF WEEKLY DIET LOG 25 PTS: ANALYZE EVERY NUTRIENT ON THIS PAGE 1 st : Circle the nutrients you are either high or low in 2 nd : Write what changes you need to make in your diet (foods you want to add or subtract) 25 PTS: WEEKLY SUMMARY On a weekly basis you will answer: Did you accomplish your goal for the week, Why/Why not? Are you still motivated to continue, Why/Why not? (1 paragraph typed, double space 12 font, for each question, each week. You will have project time every in class) 50 PTS: CONCLUSION At the end, write a summary of the process and accomplishments of reaching/attempting to reach your goal. Example: How has working towards your goal affected you as an individual? Has it changed your mindset and or your personality? Do you feel a level of accomplishment? How do you feel physically and mentally? Etc...(1 full page typed, double space 12 font)
