The Survey to Fisheries Ecological Environment in Mass Freshwaters of Fujian Province during 2002 and 2003 Pan Xiao Ling (The Fresh water Fisheries Research Institute of Fujian Province, Fuzhou ,China)

1 Inspection items and methods 1.1 Dates and times of inspection 1.2 Waters inspected and stations located Waters inspected are: Shuikou reservoir in Mingqing district, Mianhua Tan reservoir of Yongding county, Dajin lake of Taining county, Shaxikou area, Shaowufutun Brook, Longyan area of Jiulong river.

1.3 Inspection items Water quality inspection items : Water temperature, transparency, pH, dissolve oxygen, permanganate index, total phosphorus, nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, ammoniacal nitrogen, mercury, copper, cadmium, lead, arsenic, petroleum, suspended substance, total bacteria count, total large intestines colony.

1.3.2 Sediment inspection items : Sulphide, organic contaminant Organism quality inspection items: Lead, copper, cadmium, arsenic, mercury, DDT , PCBs. 1.4 Inspection methods 《 Water and waste inspection analysis methods 》.

1.5 Evaluation standard 《 Standards for fisheries water quality 》 ( GB ) 《 Standards for environment quality of surface water 》 ( GHZB ) section Ⅲ relevant international and domestic standard A16, which are about bottom material pollutant. 《 The limitation about harmful and poisonous materials contained in free polluted foods ---water products 》 (NY ).

2 Results and discussion 2.1 Water quality inspection Inspection results refer to table 1, table 2 and table 3.

Table 1 The results of water quality inspection of fisheries environment during ( Unit : all are mg/L except pH and which marks )

Table 2 Items of average value and evaluation standard of water quality inspection ( Unit : mg/L )( Note : values with “*” in table indicate that they went beyond standard, the same meaning in following tables )

Table 3 The ratio of excess standard of items (During 2002 and 2003) ( Unit : % )

2.2 Sediment inspection The inspection results in table4. Table 4 Sediment inspection results, evaluation standard and the ratio of excess standard

2.3 Organism quality inspection Results showed in table 5. Table 5 Organism quality inspection results, evaluation standard, ratio of excess standard ( Unit : mg/kg )
