4 th Grade

Monday  A caller gives a place value clue, such as, “I’m thinking of a number that has 6 hundreds, 3 tens, and 5 ones.” The caller chooses another student to write the numeral on the board (635). If successful, the students doing the writing becomes the caller.

Tuesday  If it cost 25 cents to make a straight cut on a board, how much will it cost to cut that board into 7 pieces?

Wednesday  I am a 2-digit number less than 84. The sum of my digits is 9. The ones digit is twice the tens digit. Who am I?

Thursday  A person bought a horse for $275, sold it for $295, buys it back for $325 and sells it again for $350. After all of that, has the person made or lost money, and how much?

Friday  Penny’s parents had three kids. One was named Nickel, and one was named Dime. What was the name of their third kid?
