By ciarra ramirez 5 th hour Due May 2 Solar energy

The energy source that I have not researched yet that I choose is solar energy. The reason that I choose it is because I think that solar energy is cool. It helps save money and use what we have in a really good way. Another reason that I choose solar energy is because the other morning on the news I read about how people have created a solar system that people use so that they only have to pay around 6 dollars for all their bills. Which I thought was very interesting.

Materials needed The materials that I would need is definitely solar panels. Workers Small things to put them up all around the school. Nails and such. Things to put the nails in. Things to hold the panels up. Shade for the people. Water and breakfast plus lunch. I would need many materials for the panels to be put up on each of the buildings but these are some of the materials that I would need for the people that are working to put up the panels and to put them up.

Changes The changes that I would make to my building is I would add the solar panels. I would tint the windows like they did in the lunch room to save money from the air conditioning. Which I thought is a good Idea for the school to save money since we really need to save money to get better things.

Pro’s and con’s The Pro’s of the solar panels are : Less money spent at the end of the month. Meaning saves you money. Renewable resource No pollution Less composition Tax breaks Noise factors Nearly maintenance free. The Con’s of the solar panels are : A lot of money would be spent at first. Not 24 hours Some solar panels take up a lot of space and some are not pretty looking on your roof.

plan So my plan would be to just simply put solar panels all over the school. Because we basically only use the school during the day meaning that they would only have to use actual power is during the night which isn’t that bad because its better than using power during the day and night. And to help out with everything to make things cheaper is to tint all the windows and make the teachers only leave on one light during their classes to have money. I think if the school actually did this then they would save so much money it would be so good for the school. The school needs to find as many possible ways to save money so that we can get actual stuff that we really need instead of always having to save things and budgeting.

Adding panels all around the school. On the roof on the field and empty places around the school. I would add these in the these certain places because the places that they are would asset the entire school. With saving money and a modern look.
