Out and About in Beatrice First Graders Visit the Beatrice Fire Department

The first graders visited the Fire Department for Fire Prevention Week.

The Fire Captain is going over some very important fire safety tips.

“Remember to Stop, Drop, and Roll, if your clothes catch on fire!” said the Captain.

The firefighters put on a great puppet show teaching us some fire safety tips.

Here we are looking inside an ambulance.

A firefighter is showing us where the water hoses are stored on the trucks.

A future firefighter gets to try on the helmet with the infrared lights.

Here we are looking at all the life-saving equipment on an ambulance.

The first graders are getting a chance to sit inside one of the fire trucks.

Patiently waiting for a turn to sit inside the fire truck.

The firefighter is showing us a piece of clothing that he wears when he is fighting a fire.

Look! The firefighter is showing us the jacket that he wears when he is fighting fires.

The Beatrice Fire Department and all the firefighters are important to Beatrice because they help protect us in case of a fire or other emergencies! Thank you Beatrice Firefighters!
