LEPC MEETING – CALDWELL & RICHMOND COUNTIES TEACHING & COMMUNICATION - PREPAREDNESS, READINESS & PREVENTION. PRACTICES MUST BE TAUGHT, IF NOT, OUR REPLACEMENTS WILL BE CONDEMNED TO CREATE & REPEAT PAST FAILURES.

RICHMOND COUNTY 46,000+ population 9 Fire Departments Estimated 300 Firefighters In 2014, 27 Chemical facilities reported.

CALDWELL COUNTY 81,000+ Population 13 Fire Departments 721 Firefighters 56 chemical reporting facilities

E PLAN TIER II REPORTING / RICHMOND COUNTY In 2012, we had 28 facilities reporting. In 2013, we had 26 facilities reporting. In 2014, we had 27 facilities reporting.

E-PLAN AND TIER II REPORTING / CALDWELL COUNTY

WHO DOES THIS HELP. Citizens – Saves Life, Saves Property (values) Business – Quicker Identifier Tailored Evacuation, Industries – Decreases liability by reporting Schools – Can be planed out of harms way. Fire/Rescue/EMS - Knows what they a responding too. Can train on those issues at hand. Government – Property Revenue, Planning around possibilities of occurrences.

WHY WE NEED E PLAN? What is the chemical? E-plan gives! How bad is it? E-plan gives! Where is the population? Which way is the wind blowing. E-plan gives! What is the weather doing? E-plan gives! How far do we evacuate? E-plan gives! Do we evacuate? E-plan gives! I need a map! E-plan gives! LEPC needs to promote the use and practice of reporting to E-plan.
