Plasma And Its Application Presented by: POOJA SHRESTHA
What is PLASMA? The Fourth state of matter. Ionized state of matter.
Plasma Criteria No all Ionized gases are Plasma, but plasma is ionized. The recombination rate of ions must be negligible. It must be quasi-neutral. It must show collective behavior. The plasma temperature is >=100,000 o C
Where We Find Plasma? 99.99% of the Universe is made up of Plasma. Fluorescent light, Neon sign, Sun, Nebula, Aurora, lightning etc. We are in the world of less than 0.01%.
Application of Plasma Plasma as a Fusion energy. Semi-conductor fabrication. Plasma thruster in space craft. Plasma TV for wide angle view. Plasma Pyrolysis. Surface modification. Plasma for defense air craft.
