Plasma And Its Application Presented by: POOJA SHRESTHA

What is PLASMA?  The Fourth state of matter.  Ionized state of matter.

Plasma Criteria  No all Ionized gases are Plasma, but plasma is ionized.  The recombination rate of ions must be negligible.  It must be quasi-neutral.  It must show collective behavior.  The plasma temperature is >=100,000 o C

Where We Find Plasma?  99.99% of the Universe is made up of Plasma.  Fluorescent light, Neon sign, Sun, Nebula, Aurora, lightning etc.  We are in the world of less than 0.01%.

Application of Plasma  Plasma as a Fusion energy.  Semi-conductor fabrication.  Plasma thruster in space craft.  Plasma TV for wide angle view.  Plasma Pyrolysis.  Surface modification.  Plasma for defense air craft.
